Background
I am a former Academy Principal and Headteacher with 16 years of Leading Outstanding Schools and with a cumulative total of 30 years in education. I have been recognised for many years as one of the foremost Principals in the secondary sector.
During my career in education, I have led two secondary schools; one with over 900 pupils and the second being an inner-London 11-18 Academy of 1200 pupils and 200 staff. In this school I had specific responsibility for admissions to Year 7 and the Sixth Form. The school was over-subscribed by 6:1 and so I was very familiar with over-subscription criteria and their application.
Regularly I have written Admission Policies and I have also had responsibility for the school’s case at Appeals panels.
